About this policy
This policy covers three places:
- our website, the site you are on now;
- the Monty app at mnty.reviews, used by venues, their teams and our partners;
- guest pages: the feedback, review, issue, offer and things-to-do pages that guests open from a venue’s card, code or message.
How we use personal information generally is explained in our Privacy Policy and, for guests, the Guest Privacy Notice.
What cookies and browser storage are
Cookies are small text files a website saves in your browser. Websites can also keep information in your browser’s local storage, which stays until it is cleared, or session storage, which is cleared when you close the tab. The law treats all of these the same way: storage that is strictly necessary for a service you asked for can be used without your consent, and anything else needs it, unless an exemption applies.
Our website
Our website runs no advertising or tracking. It sets cookies only if you accept Google Analytics in the cookie banner, which we use to see how many people visit and which pages they use. If you reject it or don’t choose, no analytics cookies are set and nothing is sent to Google Analytics. The website uses these items:

Our fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when the page loads; it does not set cookies for this. When you book a demo you go to Calendly, which uses its own cookies under its own policy.
Some blog articles include a YouTube video. Until you press play we show only its thumbnail image, which your browser loads from YouTube (so YouTube receives your IP address, but no cookies are set). When you press play, the video loads from YouTube in its privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), and YouTube may then store information on your device under Google’s privacy policy.

Pages with maps load Google Maps, which may use its own cookies or similar technologies under Google’s policies.

Consent
Storage that is strictly necessary, such as keeping you signed in or preventing payment fraud, doesn’t need your consent. [Confirm how consent for FeaturePulse analytics is handled: a consent prompt, or an exemption for statistical purposes with a clear way to object.] You can ask us at any time to turn analytics off for your account by emailing help@monty.reviews.
How to control cookies and storage
- Most browsers let you block or delete cookies and site data in their settings. Blocking strictly necessary storage will stop parts of Monty working, for example signing in.
- Signing out of the Monty app removes your sign-in session.
- Closing the tab clears session storage.
- Your browser’s private or incognito mode clears storage when you close it.
- You can change your Google Analytics choice at any time:
Changes to this policy
We will update this policy if we change the cookies or storage we use, and show the date of the latest version at the top of the page. If we ever add other analytics or any advertising cookies to our website, we will ask for your consent first.
